Summary Statement: This is an advanced level test position working with agile development team to create and maintain test plans that ensure quality of new features and support break fix code releases being released to production for our Oracle HCM solution. You will collaborate with product management, the Manager of QA - Testing, and Software Engineers on testing strategies and process improvements. What you will be doing: As a Penske Senior QA Tester, your primary focus will be on test execution, formulating test plans, evaluating results, recommending solutions and overseeing process improvements of the Oracle HCM solution. Working with a diverse team of Software Engineers, QA Managers and Product Owners you will participate in the development of testing strategies as well as take a hands-on role in creating and maintaining test plans, ensuring the highest level of quality in our new development features. Working collaboratively on a team, as well as independently you will support break/fix code releases being released into production. You will perform defect analysis to understand issues and potential root causes, as well as formulate action plans to address bigger issues and prevent defects going forward. Acting as a technical leader on the team, you will drive process improvements into the manual testing methodologies through adoption of new testing procedures and advanced tools. Penske Responsibilities: - Facilitate functional testing, regression testing, UI testing for all new features for desktop application, browser, and mobile testing environments - Develop complex test plans consistent with agile sprint development plans, actively participating at sprint zero to define entire sprint testing strategy - Validate feature file flows created by automation testers - Develop complicated test cases for advanced level code in support agile sprints and complex analysis of test case results - Coordinate test execution with development staff and other Agile team members - Validate program logic and verify system flow - Identify and communicate advanced quality risks and plans for remediation - Maintain documentation of test scripts, processes and procedures - Consult with Software Architects and make recommendations for resolution of problems - Ensure software quality assurance follow standard operating procedures through measurements and process evaluations - Define and drive process improvements in the procedures and methodologies for manual testing - Evaluate and make recommendations on the use of new manual testing tools Penske Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field. - 4-6 years of Application Testing experience. - 4 years' experience, writing and executing test cases for web based/mobile applications. - Testing training and certification. ISTQB Foundations - Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Process improvement experience - Strong Knowledge and understanding with: o SQL statements o 3 tier architecture o Agile methodologies o Web services and API's o JIRA o Confluence o Deployment methodologies - Basic knowledge of following: o HCM Data Loader (HDL) o HSDL (HCM Spreadsheet Loader) o Fast Formulas o HCM Extract o BI Publisher o OTBI analysis and dashboards o (OIC) Oracle Integration Cloud Service o Oracle HCM REST and SOAP API o Analytics Cloud (FAW) - Expertise in Selenium and Zephyr testing tools - Highly proficient in the use of cloud testing environments, Sauce Labs, Browser Stack, etc. - Expertise testing Oracle HCM system and Oracle PaaS/OIC - Experience testing SaaS based applications and integrations - Strong understanding of testing concepts and procedures - Strong understanding of how the functions will work differently on different browsers and devices - Understanding of Agile testing methodologies required - Understand of root cause analysis and experience identifying concurrent issues - Proficient in Microsoft Office or other desktop tools - Ability to create efficient test cases and execute efficiently and effectively Physical Requirements: -The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
