Position Summary: The Project Leader in Maintenance Diagnostics will support all projects for the team and lead the team's Quality initiatives. Projects will be either assigned or will be identified as opportunities by the individual. Formal approaches, such as Six sigma methodology, will be used to improve the process as they lead the project from start to finish. They will facilitate cross functional teams to understand current processes, identify improvement opportunities, propose improvements and changes, develop improvements, place controls around those developments, and pilot/roll out deployment of changes/improvements. Major Responsibilities: • Lead teams, coordinate resources, complete quality initiatives for Maintenance - Diagnostics. • Research /understand current "as is" process by facilitating meetings, workout sessions, and interviews with process owners: experts and management (possibly other dept., vendors, etc.) • Produce deliverables for team for proposed solutions, keeping business team members connected and on the same page. • Work continuously with business teams to develop projects as needed and communicate progress. • Keep the project on track and challenging business teams for the best product. • Placement of controls on projects, proposal of pilots as needed, and execute on approved improvement changes using a deployment strategy, pilot plan, and CAP (Change Acceleration Process) plan. • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: • Bachelor degree required Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.• Be well organized and have ability to multi-task. • Proficient communication skills required.• Ability to successfully manage projects from start to finish required.• Be able to work with all levels of the company and have excellent presentation skills. • Must have aptitude to think outside the box, be creative, and envision end states.• Must feel comfortable with identifying opportunities for improvement and making constructive suggestions for change. • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
