Position Summary: Penske is seeking an ambitious and motivating Accounting Supervisor to join our Controllership team. Penske is a leader in the transportation industry. We help move lives and businesses forward. The Operational Accounting team is looking for an individual to provide "best in class" support through their expertise and fresh thinking. The Supervisor will directly supervise staff and work closely with various stakeholders to maintain, support, and improve vehicle accounting-related processes. Major Responsibilities: Supervise vehicle accounting-related processes Review metrics and reporting for assigned processes Ensure reconciliations are completed timely and accurately in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal accounting policy. Perform and review monthly close responsibilities. Identify opportunities to implement process improvements that add value to the company's performance. Build cooperative working relationships with stakeholders & be a process partner for the business. Develop team members by providing feedback and coaching to maximize their probability of success. Lead and participate in special projects, as assigned Qualifications: • 5 years of related experience demonstrating knowledge of financial statement analysis and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required MBA Preferred • CPA preferred • Strong communication and people management skills required • Strong team player and self-driven individual • Strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment • Intermediate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. • Microsft Access experience is a plus • Strong organization, attention to detail, and analytical skills required • Experience with AS400 and Onestream preferred • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
